An intoxicated male was arrested after causing a disturbance at his ex-girlfriend’s residence before getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
On July 11th, at approximately 6:59 p.m., deputies responded to Randolph Road for a breaking and entering. The victim advised her ex-boyfriend arrived at the residence in an intoxicated state. He would break off an exterior security camera and attempt to enter the residence through a side door. After realizing the door was locked, the suspect broke a window and climbed through it. As deputies arrived in the area, it was further advised the suspect was leaving in a gold SUV.
While canvassing the area, First Sergeant B.U. Demirci located the suspect vehicle. Deputy L.T. Smith responded to assist and the driver was detained without incident. The 32-year-old had signs of intoxication and admitted to having “like two beers.” Within the vehicle were three alcoholic beverages.
The suspect was charged with unlawful entry, vandalism, and driving under the influence. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond. |
