A wanted intoxicated woman caused a bit of a disturbance resulting in her arrest over the weekend.
On May 31st at approximately 8:31 p.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson was on scene of an unrelated disturbance at the Motel 6, located at 2868 Richmond Highway. While there, he received a report of a fight occurring just a hop and a skip away at Jay’s Sports Lounge. When he made the short walk to the establishment, a number of people pointed out the suspect.
The suspect, identified as Ashlie Campbell, 28, of Fredericksburg, was immediately defensive and attempted to quickly pass off her purse to a friend. She was detained as deputies learned what transpired prior to their arrival. It was discovered staff received reports of Campbell perusing the men’s bathroom. While attempting to escort her out, she would strike a staff member in the face and break a security wand.
Campbell had signs of intoxication and was discovered to have an active capias out of Loudoun County. During a search of the purse she attempted to nonchalantly pass off, Deputy Richardson located 67 schedule two narcotic pills. Campbell was charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, assault and battery, destruction of property, public intoxication, and served on her capias offense. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secured bond. |
