A saw-wielding suspect was jailed after an argument with a roommate got out of hand.
On March 27th at approximately 7:15 p.m. Deputy K.W. Suter responded to Cabell Road for a disturbance. It was advised a roommate was intoxicated and wielding a saw. Luckily, when Deputy Suter arrived, the suspect no longer was in possession of the saw.
While the suspect, identified as Michael Jones, 37, of Stafford, was no longer flaunting a saw, he was now wielding a Twisted Tea. Considering appearing heavily intoxicated and acting belligerently, he was detained. Deputy Suter made contact with the victim, who advised Jones assaulted him with a handsaw after a verbal argument. The victim sustained minor injuries from the assault.
Jones was charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery, as well as, public intoxication. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond. |
