A smorgasbord of alcohol was located after a Jeep driver made himself easy for deputies to locate.
On March 22nd, at approximately 5:29 a.m., Deputy A.G. Hart responded to Ferry Road for a drunk driver complaint. It was advised a Jeep driver was testing the slogan “go anywhere, do anything,” by driving on two shredded tires. The caller further advised the driver was exhibiting some signs of intoxication.
When Deputy Hart arrived in the area, she quickly located the uniquely described vehicle. The Jeep, still in drive, was blocking a driveway with the driver slumped over the wheel. In plain view, Deputy Hart observed several beer bottles, some of which were open. When the driver, identified as Alfredo Hernandez Murrieta, 33, of Kinsale, finally woke up deputies observed signs of intoxication.
It was discovered not only did Murrieta not have a license, but this was not his first DUI offense. Murrieta was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, reckless driving, second offense driving without a license, and drinking while driving. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
