Detectives are currently investigating a burglary that took place at a gun store over the weekend.
On March 14th at approximately 8:04 p.m. Deputy S.C. Steinway responded to GFR LLC, located at 30 Walsh Lane, for a business alarm. When he arrived, he observed the glass door had been shattered and quickly communicated this to nearby deputies. Deputies quickly established a perimeter and made contact with the business owner.
Luckily, all the business’s firearms were accounted for. Using camera footage, Deputy Steinway discovered a male suspect smashed the glass with a rock to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect stole a replica firearm, or commonly referred to as a “training gun,” before quickly fleeing on foot. A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located.
The suspect was described as a younger Hispanic male. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective C.L. Jacobs at 540-658-4450. |
