A Woodbridge man who thought he got away with one larceny attempted to test his luck with a second. This would only add to his list of charges.
On March 11th at approximately 4:39 p.m. Deputy T.W. Jenkins responded to Target, located at 25 South Gateway Drive, for a larceny. Staff advised a suspicious male entered the business sporting a face mask. Staff would observe the masked man conceal a number of items into a backpack before promptly fleeing without paying. Luckily, staff was able to obtain a description of the suspect’s vehicle, which Deputy Jenkins provided to nearby deputies.
A short drive down Warrenton Road was Deputy S.T. Myers, who located the suspect vehicle at Walmart, located at 11 Village Parkway. It seemed the suspect was hopping from one store to the next. Deputy Myers would locate the suspect exiting the business and detained him. It was quickly discovered the suspect had just committed another larceny as he was found in possession of stolen Walmart items.
The stolen items were returned to their respective stores as Deputy Jenkins obtained warrants for two counts of shoplifting and wearing a mask in public while committing a crime. The suspect was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 secured bond. |
