Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are currently investigating a robbery that took place over the weekend on Plantation Drive.
On March 9th at approximately 12:40 p.m. Deputy K.W. Suter responded to a report of a robbery near the Howell Library. The two juvenile victims advised they were walking along Plantation Drive when they were approached by three suspects. While the three seemed “friendly” at first, things would take a turn.
The victims advised one of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded their personal belongings. The victims complied before running off and alerting an adult. The suspect who brandished a firearm was described as a Hispanic male who was approximately six feet tall with short black curly hair in a mullet style and had piercings in both ears.
