Wanted Pair Unmasked

Two wanted suspects were located and served after a diligent deputy continued his patrol in North Stafford.

On March 10th at approximately 8:38 p.m. Deputy X.D. Bates was patrolling the area of Joshua Road. While there, he observed a Nissan drift over the center line. Deputy Bates would conduct a traffic stop and made contact with the occupants, one of which was wearing a ski mask. Deputy Bates informed the suspect of the potential charge for wearing a mask in public, to which the suspect would quickly unmask himself.

Deputy Bates and his extraordinary memory would recognize the suspect as someone wanted out of Stafford County. The suspect was detained and found to be in possession of blue pills, commonly associated with fentanyl. Deputy Bates would continue his investigation and discovered the female driver was also wanted out of Colonial Heights. The two for one special ended when she too was detained.

The male passenger was served on his outstanding warrant and additionally charged with possession of controlled substances. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. The female driver was served on her outstanding warrant and was released on personal recognizance.

Great work to Deputy Bates for locating two wanted suspects and additionally removing controlled substances from the streets of Stafford County.
