Late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning, deputies were dealing with numerous high priority calls throughout the County. There was a wanted subject barricaded in a trailer on Richmond Highway, an overdose at the Motel 6 on Warrenton Road, an uncooperative stabbing victim at Stafford Hospital and a robbery near the entrance to England Run. However, numerous first responders were needed at the scene of a mass casualty overdose in South Stafford.
On March 9th at 12:16 a.m. first responders were dispatched to an overdose on Edison Lane. They arrived to find an adult male unresponsive and began providing care. While on scene, an additional four people at the residence began to overdose and required treatment. All five were transported to the hospital and are expected to recover.
The investigation revealed there was a party at the residence and one reveler had brought a suspected controlled substance, which some guests at the party consumed. During the investigation, Anne Pates, 36, was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. This is still an active investigation.
