The string of pursuits in Stafford County continued last night after a driver reported a road rage incident.
On March 4th at approximately 11:55 p.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to the area of Richmond Highway and Hope Road for a road rage incident. The victim advised the driver of a white vehicle was speeding, cutting him off, and threw an item at his vehicle. Considering it was advised the suspect vehicle was continuing Southbound, Deputy Richardson waited for its presence.
Deputy Richardson would observe the vehicle in question driving at a reckless speed and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Instead of stopping, the vehicle continued to the Courthouse Road intersection where it made an illegal U-Turn at the red light and began traveling Northbound. As the pursuit was now heading Northbound, the vehicle would travel at excessive speeds and once again blow past a red light. When the vehicle made an abrupt turn onto Jason Lane, visual contact was lost. Additional deputies saturated the area, but unfortunately the vehicle was not located.
Deputy Richardson made contact with the victim to confirm the reckless rider and road rage rider were one in the same. The victim’s vehicle had fresh damages and a liquid sprayed across it. When Deputy Richardson went to the scene of the original road rage offense, he located a cold to the touch beer bottle and damaged mirror.
The vehicle was described as a white sedan with tinted windows and a paper temporary license plate. The driver was described as a possible Hispanic male who was approximately 20 years of age. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office. |
