And the Oscar for Stafford’s Wanted of the Week goes to: Darecio Andre Fulsom. The 31-year-old Woodbridge man is wanted after eluding police, but not before leaving behind an important clue.

On February 28th at approximately 11:21 a.m. Deputy R. Tully was in the area of Richmond Highway and Washington Drive. While patrolling the area, he observed a Dodge Charger traveling Northbound without a license plate. Deputy Tully would activate his emergency equipment and conduct a traffic stop.

Deputy Tully made contact with the driver, who’s red carpet outfit included a ski mask. Just like every run of the mill traffic stop, Deputy Tully requested the driver’s license and registration. As their conversation progressed, Deputy Tully observed signs of impairment. As Deputy Tully returned to his patrol vehicle to run the driver’s information he would request another unit.

Shortly after backup arrived, Deputy Tully would re-engage the driver. When he requested the driver to step out so field sobriety tests could be conducted, the driver had other ideas. He would drive off at a high rate of speed, kicking off a pursuit. Deputy Tully would give chase as the Charger entered onto Northbound I-95. The Charger would continue to travel at reckless speeds, drive on the shoulder, as well as, cut in front of other driver’s, forcing them to brake to avoid a collision. Due to the extremely reckless behavior and heavy traffic, Deputy Tully terminated the pursuit. All would not be lost, for Deputy Tully still had the driver’s ID in his possession.

Warrants for felony eluding, reckless driving, improper license plate display, improper lane change, and driving on the shoulder were obtained. If anyone has information on Fulsom’s whereabouts, please let him know we still have his driver’s license and he can retrieve it, along with his warrants.
