A 36-year-old female was found in possession of suspected controlled substances after an assault in South Stafford.
On February 15th at approximately 12:04 p.m. Deputy F.C. O’Neill responded to Walmart, located at 11 Village Parkway, for an assault. The victim advised she was just assaulted on Stonehaven Drive and would meet deputies at Walmart.
Deputy O’Neill contacted the victim and discovered what occurred. It was advised the victim was having a conversation with a former partner. Shortly after conversing, the victim would drive off only to be followed by the former partner’s current partner. The suspect would strike the victim’s vehicle with her own vehicle. During their confrontation, the suspect would assault the victim. The assault would cease after a bystander separated both parties. The suspect would speed off, but not before driving towards the victim, nearly striking her.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for her injuries as deputies located the suspect, identified as Rayshon Palmer, of Stafford. During a search incident to arrest, Sergeant M.E. McCann would locate suspected controlled substances on Palmer’s person. Palmer would admit the substance was cocaine.
Palmer was charged with attempted felonious assault, assault and battery, hit and run, as well as, possession of controlled substances. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
