A firearm was stolen and quickly recovered after a regular customer decided to walk off with it.
On January 22nd at approximately 7:04 p.m. Deputy C.A. Sharp responded to All Star Pawn and Gold, located at 404 Kings Highway, for a larceny. Staff advised business was running like normal until they noticed a firearm had magically disappeared. After reviewing camera footage, it was discovered magic wasn’t the culprit, but a customer they knew by name was. The suspect had stored the firearm on his person and walked out of the business with it.
Luckily for Deputy Sharp, a receipt for items sold to the store confirmed the suspects identity. With this, Deputy Sharp obtained a warrant for grand larceny of a firearm and responded to the suspects residence. The suspect originally stated after stealing the firearm he “tossed it as far as he could.” That was determined to be a lie, for deputies located the stolen firearm in a hole in the suspect’s bedroom wall.
The suspect was served on his warrant. He was brought before the magistrate and was released on personal recognizance. |
