A 34-year-old Stafford man was arrested on his fourth DUI Saturday night after numerous drunk driver complaints.
On November 2nd at approximately 8:10 p.m. Deputy S.A. Edwards and Deputy R.W. Stamm responded to Garrisonville Road for a drunk driver complaint. The caller advised a Honda Civic was crossing the center line and nearly struck several other vehicles. Moments before this call, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office released a be-on-the-look-out report in which multiple callers advised of the same driving behaviors with the same vehicle. After a bit of searching, the two deputies located the suspect vehicle traveling Eastbound on Garrisonville Road. The driver would continue swerving and slow down to approximately 15 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. Deputies would conduct a traffic stop in the area of Garrisonville Road and Eustace Road.
As soon as deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Marvin Sorto Guillen, they immediately noticed strong signs of intoxication. Guillen would admit to consuming four Coronas and, in plain view, deputies would observe a nearly empty bottle of Corona. Two additional bottles would be located during a search of the vehicle. It was discovered Guillen had three prior DUI convictions, two of which were in Stafford County, and a revoked license due to the DUI incidents.
Guillen was charged with driving under the influence fourth offense within ten years with a blood alcohol content above .2, driving while revoked, and third offense felony driving after forfeiture of his license. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $10,000 secured bond.
