A 46-year-old Spotsylvania man was caught driving under the influence after medics noticed unusual driving behaviors on Kings Highway.
On September 19th at approximately 10:33 p.m. Sergeant S.C. Jett responded to Kings Highway for a reckless driver report. A King George medic advised they were behind a silver SUV that was swerving all over the lanes. Sergeant Jett would observe the suspect vehicle, still being followed by the Rescue Squad, at the intersection of Kings Highway and James Ashby Parkway. Sergeant Jett would conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle at Walmart, located at 125 Washington Square Plaza.
The driver, Frederick Frazier III, advised the fog was the reason for his driving behavior; however, Sergeant Jett observed signs of intoxication. In plain view there were signs of drug activity. After a deeper dive into the investigation it was discovered Frazier had a previous DUI in 2020.
Frazier was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years and possession of controlled substances. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,000 secured bond. Drive sober of get pulled over. |
