A 17-year-old driver was able to predict how smart deputies are moments after crashing a Charger while under the influence.
On September 14th at approximately 2:00 a.m. Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to Embrey Mill Road for an automatic crash notification coming from an iPhone. Dispatch was able to hear a female say “they’re gonna know,” and “I can’t blow zeros.” The same female would request dispatch not to send anyone because all occupants were “fine.”
When Deputy Holetzky arrived, he located a Dodge Charger completely off the roadway and in several bushes. The driver advised she swerved to avoid hitting a deer; however, due to her signs of intoxication, it was hypothesized some other factors may have played a role. She would later admit prior to getting behind the wheel she was playing beer pong, only using Smirnoff instead of beer. She was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Criminal complaints for driving under the influence, driving after illegally consuming alcohol, unlawful possession of alcohol, and underage possession of marijuana were submitted. Juvenile Intake was contacted; however, declined to detain the juvenile so she was turned over to her parents. |
