Order Up! The battle between Burger King and McDonald’s continues as both had a police presence due to individuals being under the influence.
The day after Fry-day, August 17th at lunch time, Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to Burger King, located at 426 Kings Highway. It was advised someone was not having it their way, for a male who seemed “out of it” was staggering around the parking lot and nearly walked in front of a moving vehicle. Deputy Hensley was quick to ketchup to the suspect and noticed several signs of intoxication. The suspect was also found to be in possession of an empty bottle of vodka. His Whopper would have to wait, for he was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
Not to steal the spotlight like the Hamburglar, but that same day at dinner time, Deputy A.J. Charoenthep responded to McDonald’s, located at 545 Ferry Road. It was advised someone was not lovin’ it. Staff advised an employee had beef after being told to leave and started to act belligerently. The suspect would continue to grill his co-workers until he would meat with deputies. The 19-year-old had signs of intoxication. His Big Mac would have to wait, for he was charged with public intoxication, and underage possession of alcohol. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $500 secured bond. |
