The curtain dropped on a mobile dance party after a traffic stop and DUI arrest yesterday afternoon in North Stafford.
On July 18th at 2:14 p.m. Deputy S.C. Martin observed a BMW SUV on Courthouse Road near Dent Road. The vehicle attracted his attention as he witnessed two occupants who appeared to be dancing through the open sunroof.
A traffic stop was conducted and the jig was up. The 26-year-old male driver had glassy eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The waltz wheelman was arrested for DUI second offense in five years, no license and reckless driving. The Merengue motorist was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail while his pirouetting passengers were turned over to a sober chauffer.
