A 29-year-old Stafford man who was “definitely on something” earned charges after picking a fight with a female, a pole, and a deputy.
On July 10th at approximately 6:25 p.m. deputies responded to Wawa, located at 9 South Gateway Drive, for a disturbance. The caller advised a male suspect threatened to fight a female at the business. As deputies were enroute, the caller further advised the suspect crossed the street to the Shell, located at 535 Warrenton Road, and began striking a pole, leading the caller to believe he was “definitely on something.”
When deputies arrived, they recognized the suspect as Ryheem Perrin from prior interactions. Perrin had signs of being under the influence. Due to him possibly being a danger to himself and others, deputies decided to detain him. While attempting to do so, Perrin would resist and assault a deputy. He was quickly notified that he was under arrest.
Perrin was charged with public intoxication, as well as, assault and battery on law enforcement. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
