While attempting to locate a suspect wanted for felony eluding, deputies arrested another suspect for felony eluding.
On June 16th, at approximately 8:40 p.m., deputies responded to a service request on Little Falls Road. It was advised Tylor Asbury, 19, of Stafford, was wanted out of King George County for felony eluding, obstruction of justice, and numerous other charges. When deputies arrived, they observed a truck leaving the residence and ran a stop sign. Believing Asbury was inside the vehicle, Deputy S.A. Fulford attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the truck. The truck would instead continue to gain speed.
The pursuit continued westbound on Kings Highway before entering on Blue and Grey Parkway where the truck began passing vehicles on the shoulder. As the pursuit continued deeper into Fredericksburg, Deputy Fulford remained right behind the vehicle. After speeding through a red light, the driver realized he could not outrun Deputy Fulford and pulled over near Lafayette Boulevard. The passenger however had different ideas and fled on foot. While the driver was taken into custody with the assistance of the Fredericksburg Police Department, the passenger who was positively identified as Asbury, was not located.
The driver, Cash Phelix, 18, of Stafford, was discovered to be in possession of controlled substances and a grape alcoholic beverage. He was charged with felony eluding, possession of controlled substances, reckless driving, passing on the shoulder, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to obey a traffic light. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,000 secured bond.
Asbury is still wanted by the King George County Sheriff’s Office, and due to his actions Saturday is also wanted by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact your local law enforcement. |
