A 47-year-old, who self-proclaimed to drink too much, crashed his motorcycle late Friday night.
On June 14th, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Deputy C.M. Sterne responded to a drunk driver complaint. The caller advised there was a male at Adventure Brewing, located at 33 Perchwood Drive, who was “obviously under the influence.” The caller and other patrons attempted to prevent the suspect from driving off on his motorcycle, but were unsuccessful.
As Deputy Sterne responded to the original call, another drunk driver complaint was received. This caller advised a motorcycle driver appeared intoxicated as they were driving. The caller would then advise the motorcycle crashed into the woods in the 800 block of Ramoth Church Road.
Deputy Sterne arrived on scene and made contact with the driver, who quickly advised he had “too much to drink.” Deputy Sterne would observe several signs of intoxication as the driver advised he had a “fresh” bottle of Grey Goose. After being medically cleared, the driver was charged with driving under the influence. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond. |
