A 44-year-old Stafford woman has pending warrants after making quick contact with a pole while in possession of cocaine.
On June 3rd at approximately 6:32 a.m. Deputies responded to Greenbank Road for a single vehicle auto accident. It was advised a Mitsubishi Lancer had went off the road and struck a power line pole.
Deputies made contact with the driver who advised the accident occurred due to her being tired. Given the rather early hour that was a possible reason; however, after a bit of investigating deputies knew that was not the case. The driver had slurred speech, was disoriented, and appeared lethargic, all signs of being under the influence. While conversing with the driver, Deputy F.C. O’Neill observed a bulge in her sock. When asked what that bulge was the driver advised “I have cocaine.”
While she gets bonus points for being honest, doing drugs only gave her charges. Warrants for driving under the influence and possession of controlled substances were obtained. They will be served when she is released from the hospital for her injuries sustained during the auto accident. |
