A 41-year-old Stafford man now sits behind bars due to a brave juvenile coming forward with her story.
In early May, Deputy K.R. Sprinkles responded to a past occurred sexual assault allegation. The reporting party was with the Department of Social Services and informed Deputy Sprinkles that a juvenile under the age of 13 came forward with appalling allegations. These allegations involved Marvin Schaeffer Jr. forcing the victim to do acts of a sexual nature at his residence in South Stafford.
Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the Special Victims Unit was promptly notified and took over the investigation. As a result of the investigation, Schaeffer was charged with six counts of forcible sodomy, six counts of object sexual penetration, and six counts of aggravated sexual battery of a victim under the age of 13. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office takes any and all allegations seriously. If you or someone you know is a victim, do not hesitate to reach out. There are people within the Sheriff’s Office always willing to help. |
