A rash of burglaries that occurred in late 2023 was solved due to the hard work of detectives and their excellent evidence collection.
On November 9th, Nara Thai Cuisine, located at 432 Garrisonville Road, and Stafford Tobacco and Vape Shop, located at 296 Garrisonville Road, were broken into. Wine, cash, and vapes were taken. Camera footage showed two individuals burglarizing the businesses.
On December 8th, Stafford Tobacco and Vape Shop was burglarized again, along with Shaz Unique Studio Salon, located at 370 Garrisonville Road. Vapes, cash, and a laptop were taken. This time, it was discovered three suspects were involved and a red Ford truck was a vehicle of interest.
Also on December 8th, deputies responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. While investigating, the juvenile was dropped off back at home by a red Ford truck. The 17-year-old was wearing clothes that matched the third suspect involved.
On December 10th, deputies responded to Discount Tobacco and Vape, located at 282 Deacon Road, for another burglary. Well aware of the number of burglaries occurring, deputies were in the area and were able to detain the suspect involved. Detectives were able to identify the 16-year-old as a suspect from both the November 9th and December 8th incidents.
Since December, detectives have been gathering additional evidence in order to identify the third suspect. In early April, the 17-year-old suspect was identified. All three juveniles received numerous criminal complaints, including breaking and entering, grand larceny, destruction of property, and conspiracy to commit a felony. All three were served on a detention order and held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
Amazing job to both deputies and detectives for their continuous effects to identify each suspect. |
