An intoxicated 34-year-old Stafford man probably won’t be getting a Wawa Hoagie anytime soon after causing a disturbance late last night.
On April 24th at approximately 9:05 p.m. Deputy S.A. Edwards responded to Wawa, located at 105 Garrisonville Road, for a disturbance. It was advised a male who seemed intoxicated was at the business yelling at customers. After having enough of his belligerent behavior, staff asked him to leave. The suspect instead pushed past staff and continued his yelling rant.
Deputy Edwards arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect, identified as Jonkelly Swartz. Swartz had signs of intoxication and advised his phone was stolen. It was discovered to not actually be stolen, he just misplaced it. Due to his level of intoxication and admitting to driving to the business, he was detained. Using camera footage, Deputy Edwards was able to confirm Swartz drove to the business before his loud incident inside. Suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia were located in his belongings.
Swartz would continue his belligerent behavior all the way to the magistrate. He was charged with driving under the influence, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substances, and possession of paraphernalia. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond. |
