Getting caught with your pants down is bad enough, but while driving drunk makes it worse. An 18-year-old Stafford man received no bond after driving recklessly down Richmond Highway.
On February 24th at approximately 1:41 a.m. Deputy N.J. Amato responded to Richmond Highway near Enon Road for a reckless driver complaint. The caller advised a vehicle with no headlights on crossed three lanes of traffic, nearly ran a red light, and was driving erratically as it drove Northbound. Deputy Amato would discover the vehicle on the side of the road in the 1200 block of Richmond Highway parked, but still running.
Deputy Amato approached the vehicle and discovered the driver asleep in an unusual fashion given the temperatures. He was wearing nothing but his socks and spandex underwear. When the poorly dressed driver woke up deputies observed several signs of intoxication. The driver advised he was coming from his house and was currently in front of his house. He indeed was not currently at his house. The driver further advised he had no driver’s license and he consumed “half a gallon” of Bacardi prior to driving.
While the driver was found wearing almost nothing, he would soon get a Rappahannock Regional Jail jumpsuit. He was charged with driving under the influence, underage possession of alcohol, reckless driving, driving without a license, and driving at night without headlights. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
No matter your fashion, driving sober looks great with your outfit. |
