Everyone loves speeding and guns in movies; however, this isn’t Fast & Furious and a 25-year-old Woodbridge man faces felony charges because of it.
On February 22nd at approximately 1:47 a.m. Deputy P.J. Leon was conducting speed enforcement on Garrisonville Road. While there, he observed a pick-up truck traveling 55 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Deputy Leon conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Wells Fargo parking lot, located at 131 Garrisonville Road, and made contact with the driver to discuss his reckless driving.
While conversing with the driver, Deputy Leon observed he had a concealed firearm in his waistband. After confirming the driver did not have a concealed weapons permit, he was detained. During a search of the vehicle, Deputy Leon located two loaded rifles that were concealed in the backseat. There was also a partially consumed beer within the vehicle. The driver, Danesh Hussan, was then transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail where his list of charges would grow.
During a more in-depth search, jail staff located suspected controlled substances within Hussan’s belongings. He was charged with three counts of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of controlled substances, possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled substances, felony by a prisoner, drinking while driving, and reckless driving. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
