The IHOP slogan is come hungry and leave happy, but one patron left unhappy in handcuffs after an early morning disturbance Saturday.
On January 13th at 5:07 a.m. Deputies J.W. Ahern and T.G. Croson responded to the IHOP on Worth Avenue for an intoxicated person threatening people in the business. The subject was quickly located and displayed signs of intoxication.
The subject was initially reluctant to provide his name, but was eventually identified as Terrance Whitaker, 25, of Woodbridge. Whitaker was found to be wanted in Prince William County for failure to appear and assault and battery. During a search incident to arrest, deputies located a suspected controlled substance in his pocket.
Whitaker was charged with possession of a controlled substance, inhaling drugs and public intoxication. The Prince William warrants were served and Whitaker was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober enough to participate in a bond hearing. |
