An intoxicated female assaulted both her neighbor and a deputy over a simple dispute yesterday.

On October 3rd, at approximately 5:48 p.m. deputies responded to Sonny Lane for a report of a fight. The caller advised she was assaulted and threatened moments ago by a neighbor. After arriving on scene and talking to all the parties, deputies gathered a clear story on what occurred.

A family member of the victim was mowing his grass when Kimberly Arnold, 57, of Stafford, confronted him. Arnold, in an intoxicated state, began yelling at him over property lines and used abusive language. When the victim joined in the discussion, Arnold continued her disorderly behavior, threatened and assaulted the victim.

During deputies interaction with Arnold, she showed clear signs of being intoxicated and acted belligerently. When Arnold was informed she was under arrest for the assault, she began resisting. Her resistance would continue as she assaulted a deputy. Neither the deputy or victim were seriously injured.

Arnold continued spitting a spree of curse words from the moment of arrest all the way before the magistrate. Arnold was charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on law enforcement, public intoxication, abusive language, and disorderly conduct. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
