A suspected intoxicated driver was arrested for several charges yesterday after an auto accident in South Stafford.
On November 8th at 11:40 a.m. Deputy J.W. McAlister responded to an auto accident at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Truslow Road. The investigation revealed the driver of a southbound Mitsubishi Mirage on Cambridge Street drifted from the far right lane into the northbound side of the roadway and struck a Chevrolet Silverado that was waiting to turn onto Truslow Road. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries in the crash.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was identified as Trumell Watts, 46, of Fredericksburg. A DUI investigation was conducted and Watts was arrested. A search warrant for Watt’s blood was executed at Stafford Hospital.
Watts was charged with DUI, driving suspended and reckless driving. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober. |
