Two suspects were thwarted by trunk size in their attempt to pilfer a television from a Stafford Walmart yesterday. They also left a significant piece of evidence at the scene.
On May 26th at 7:51 p.m. Deputy E.R. Houde responded to the Walmart at 217 Garrisonville Road for a larceny in progress. The investigation revealed two suspects attempted to steal a 65” television and were confronted by several people in the parking lot. The suspects tried to squeeze the television into the back of a grey Honda CRV, but their efforts were stymied by the trunk size.
The suspects left the television behind and fled in the Honda. However, in their haste, one of the suspects left behind a valuable clue- his cell phone.
We would like to encourage the suspects to do the right thing and turn themselves in. You know you want the cell phone back. Our office is open 24/7, even over the holiday weekend. |
