Stafford Sheriff’s Office Investigating School Bus Incident

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports that a student brought a weapon on a school bus this afternoon. At approximately 2:46 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report that a student on a bus had a weapon. The bus pulled over in the area of Brittany Manor Way and Hamn Lane. Sheriff’s Office personnel entered the bus, which was occupied by four high school students. They made contact with a 17-year-old juvenile who was very cooperative and advised he had a pocket knife in his backpack. The incident remains under investigation. We will provide further updates as the investigation unfolds.
