Two wanted suspects were spotted and picked up by Stafford’s Street Crimes Unit yesterday afternoon.

Recently, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office received a wanted bulletin for Claude Church Jr., 30, of Stafford. Church was wanted out of Loudoun for two counts of violation of pretrial conditions, as well as, Fairfax for robbery, malicious wounding, and abduction. Due to the seriousness of the offenses, deputies kept a close eye out.

On April 24th, at approximately 1:10 p.m., First Sergeant J.D. Floirendo observed a male matching Church’s appearance on Woodland Drive. Additional deputies, along with the Street Crimes Unit, responded as the suspect settled down for a nap in a tent next to a female companion. Deputies were quickly able to positively identify the suspect as Church due to his numerous face tattoos. The pair received a high-speed wake-up call and were detained.

The female was identified as Heather Harrison, 38, of Stafford. She was also wanted out of Fairfax for robbery and failure to return property. During a search incident to arrest, Church was found in possession of both suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia. Both were served on their outstanding warrants and Church received additional charges for possession of controlled substances and possession of paraphernalia. Both were held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Amazing work to deputies for locating and detaining two suspects wanted on very serious offenses.
