A wanted Stafford man attempted to steal packages off a porch in the England Run subdivision only to be delivered to jail himself. On April 4th at approximately 2:58 p.m. Deputy M.N. Sayegh responded to Brushy Creek Circle for an information call. The caller advised Olayiwola Adeyemi, 42, frequents the area around this time. Adeyemi was wanted out of Stafford for multiple offenses. With the information, Deputy Sayegh began patrolling the area. Deputy Sayegh would observe a male matching the description of Adeyemi. Before she could make contact with him, the suspect would approach a residence and attempt to take the package off the porch. A resident would confront the suspect about the porch pirating. Deputy Sayegh intervened and attempted to identify the suspect. When he refused and attempted to flee with the package in hand, Deputy Sayegh attempted to detain him. He would resist as additional deputies responded to assist. With the help of those deputies, and a dose of OC spray, the suspect was eventually detained. The suspect was confirmed to be Adeyemi. Adeyemi was served on his outstanding Stafford warrants, which included two counts of felony destruction of property, two counts of trespassing, larceny, and a capias. He was additionally charged with another trespassing offense, and obstruction of justice. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending his ability to participate in a bond hearing. |
