A tow truck would need to be towed away after the Manassas driver was found in possession of controlled substances.

On March 24th, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to Dolphin Cove for an unusual auto accident report. A tow truck had struck an unoccupied parked vehicle before colliding with a wall separating the neighborhood from I-95. Luckily, only minor injuries were reported.

The tow truck driver was identified as Jason Rock, 41. Rock claimed his headlights malfunctioned while completing a job, causing him to not see the obstacles in front of him. Rock would admit to his license being suspended; however, there was still more to uncover.

Within the tow truck deputies observed a red fanny pack. The fanny pack was observed to be housing both a firearm and a glass pipe commonly used for narcotics. During their search of the vehicle, deputies located suspected controlled substances.

While the tow truck was being towed, Rock was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail. He was charged with possession of controlled substances, possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled substances, reckless driving, and driving while suspended. He was held on a $3,000 secured bond.
