The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a robbery that took place early Wednesday morning.

On February 19th at approximately 2:03 a.m. Deputy K.F. Bierfeldt and Deputy B.E. Vaughn responded to Sheetz, located at 1175 Garrisonville Road, for a robbery. It was advised the business was just robbed at gunpoint.

Due to the claims, deputies flooded the area and contact was made with staff. It was discovered the suspect, described as a black male, entered the business and approached the counter. After waiting for another customer to leave the business, the suspect would brandish a firearm and demand cash from the register. Staff would comply with the demand. The suspect was last seen running towards the wood line on Furnace Road. Despite deputies’ efforts, no suspect was located.
