Eating a hoagie in front of a deputy, okay. Consuming narcotics, not okay. A 44-year-old female discovered this during her trip to Wawa. On February 10th at approximately 11:48 p.m. Deputy S.T. Myers was patrolling Wawa, located at 9 South Gateway Drive. While there, he observed something stunning, and it wasn’t their deal on coffee. Sitting in her vehicle, Deputy Myers observed a driver consuming suspected controlled substances. Considering the bright blue pill he observed, it was suspected to be a fentanyl pill. Deputy Myers made contact with the driver as Deputy P.J. Leon responded to assist. The driver, identified as Heidi Erickson-Perkins, of Stafford, admitted the suspected narcotic was in fact fentanyl and she did in fact consume some. Deputy Leon would observe signs of intoxication indicative of drug use, including constricted pupils. During a search of her vehicle, a large number of blue M-30 marked pills were located. M-30 marked pills are commonly associated with fentanyl. Additional suspected controlled substances were also located. Erickson-Perkins was charged with driving under the influence and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Despite the startling amount of pills located, she was only held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober. Due to that, there is no booking photo available. Good work, and eye sight, to the deputies involved in removing more dangerous controlled substances from Stafford County. |
