Two juveniles were detained after assaulting another juvenile and brandishing a firearm in North Stafford.

On January 14th at approximately 4:16 p.m. deputies responded to the Highpointe Subdivision for a disturbance with a weapon report. The caller advised a juvenile family member had a gun pulled on them during an assault. Due to the nature of the call, deputies flooded the area to quickly establish a perimeter.

Deputy X.D. Bates would make contact with the caller and victim to gather more details on the assault. It was discovered the victim was approached by two suspects while walking home. One of the suspects confronted the victim regarding a rumor and in the process, displayed a firearm. The two suspects would assault the victim before fleeing on foot. The first suspect was described as a juvenile male wearing a ski mask and Adidas sweatpants. The second suspect was described as a heavy-set juvenile female with twists in her hair.

With the rather unique descriptions, deputies began looking for the pair. First Sergeant W.T. Johnson would observe two individuals matching the description provided at 7-Eleven, located at 378 Garrisonville Road. The two were detained and identified as the suspects. Stashed in their backpack deputies located what looked to be a Glock handgun. While its appearance is very consistent with an actual firearm, it was discovered to be a pellet gun.

Criminal complaints for acts of violence by mob, assault and battery, as well as, brandishing a firearm were submitted for both suspects. Juvenile Intake was contacted regarding the events that transpired and agreed to detain both the 15-year-old and 13-year-old. They both were held at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Outstanding work to the deputies involved for their quick actions in resolving this serious offense.
