No, we are not referring to the Mike Tyson Vs. Jake Paul fight. A different fight occurred here in Stafford County that would have a better outcome than the judges’ unanimous decision.

On November 15th at approximately 10:08 p.m. deputies entered the ring by responding to Cropp Road for an assault. It was advised an extremely intoxicated resident wasn’t pulling any punches during a verbal argument and escalated the incident into Friday night fight night by assaulting the victim.

Deputies made contact with the suspect, who instead of rolling with the punches, was rolling in a pile of branches. While conversing with the suspect, deputies were struck with the heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage that was stronger than a right hook. The suspect was helped out of the branches and into handcuffs. That is when the gloves came off and the suspect was ready to rumble.

The suspect began yelling and cursing towards deputies, bystanders, and the victim. He would continue this behavior as deputies attempted to place him into a cruiser. The suspect refused to throw in the towel and instead began kicking a sergeant. That action was fixed quicker than Netflix’s buffering issues by placing the suspect in a hobble. With this exhibition match over, the suspect was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail. There were no serious injuries in either assault.

The suspect, Sean Hulburt, 24, of Stafford, was charged with assault and battery, as well as, assault and battery on law enforcement. He was held without bond.
