A fan of both cinnamon and whiskey was found after shoplifting the same item from the same business in less than 24 hours. On November 11th at approximately 6:27 p.m. Deputy B.E. Vaughn responded to the ABC store, located at 50 N Stafford Complex Center, for a larceny. Staff advised a less than neat suspect concealed a pint of Fireball on his person before paying for only a mini-bottle of Fireball. Staff would discover the fiery offense while reviewing camera footage. Deputy Vaughn would recognize the whiskey aficionado from a prior interaction and obtained a warrant for larceny. On November 12th at approximately 11:48 a.m. Deputy S.M. Eastman and Deputy C.S. Harding would also respond to the ABC store for a larceny. It was an incident of déjà vu, for the same suspect stole the same type of alcohol moments ago. It appeared the suspect wanted to make his offense a double. Deputies would locate the suspect at a nearby business in both a shaken and stirred state. The suspect was detained and advised there was video of both larcenies. Now on the rocks, the suspect inquired “they caught me both times?” He further advised he committed the larceny because he “didn’t know anyone was watching.” He quickly learned that was not the case. The suspect was charged with public intoxication and two counts of larceny. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secured bond. |
