Shortly after breaking into an acquaintance’s house, a 31-year-old attempted to flee from deputies, but did not make it far. On August 8th at approximately 6:42 a.m. Deputy F.C. O’Neill responded to Whitetail Way for a breaking and entering. It was advised an acquaintance, who had previously been trespassed from the property, had returned. The suspect unlawfully entered the residence twice and, in the process, stole not only a car key, but Hershey Kisses. He would then unlawfully enter the victim’s vehicle and rummage through it. He would quickly leave after that. Deputy O’Neill began searching the area for the suspect, which he located on Hartlake Road. After a brief conversation, the suspect took off on foot in an attempt to avoid being detained. His attempt was quickly destroyed by the quick workings of Deputy O’Neill, who was able to catch up to him and detain him. The suspect was found still in possession of the car key taken from the residence. The suspect, Jacob Hudson with no affixed address, was charged with breaking and entering with intent to steal, trespassing, unlawful entry, and fleeing from law enforcement. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
