A Stafford man was jailed Friday evening after a firearm was found concealed in his vehicle.

On July 12th at 6:21 p.m. First Sergeant A.I. Assur stopped a GMC Acadia for an inspection violation in the area of Ridge Pointe Lane and Deacon Road. Deputy I.E. Baldi and a Fredericksburg K-9 Officer responded to assist on the stop.

A search of the vehicle reveled a concealed handgun and deputies determined the driver was a convicted felon. Christopher Sullivan, 30, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, concealed weapon, and fictitious inspection. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,000 bond.

Thank you to the Fredericksburg Police Department for their assistance on this traffic stop.
