With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good. One Triangle man apparently didn’t think so, and now finds himself in a jam.

On May 6th at 1:33 p.m. Deputy A.J. Layug responded to the Weis at 905 Garrisonville Road for a disturbance. Management reported a disgruntled ex-employee had knocked several glass jars of Smuckers ice cream toppings off a shelf. The value of the damaged product was $50.

From the photo, it is evident the suspect did not give a jam about the toppings. Deputies were delayed in the perpetual traffic jam of Garrisonville Road and the suspect had left prior to their arrival.

The suspect is now toast, as a warrant for vandalism was obtained and served. Thank you Deputy Layug for handling this sticky situation.
