A 20-year-old Stafford man and two juveniles were found in possession of not only substances they should not have, but loaded firearms.

On April 29th at approximately 5:52 p.m. Deputy J.R. Suarez responded to Kensington Drive for a suspicious vehicle call. The caller advised there had been a vehicle parked with individuals smoking inside. When Deputy Suarez arrived, he located the vehicle occupied by three people and a large amount of smoke that smelled much like a skunk.

All three were found in possession of a large amount of marijuana, despite all three being under the legal age. The 20-year-old driver and one of the juveniles were in possession of a bag that each had a loaded handgun concealed inside. It was discovered the bag the 20-year-old had actually belonged to the second juvenile. The driver was determined to be under the influence, and all items were seized.

The driver was charged with driving under the influence, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Both juveniles received criminal complaints for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, and underage possession of marijuana. Juvenile Intake was contacted and elected to detain both juveniles. They were held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
