Two juveniles decided to settle their disagreement in a physical manner mere feet away from a deputy.

On April 19th at approximately 2:16 p.m. Deputy F.A. Martinez was in the area of the Arbor Grove Clubhouse, located at 100 Timberlake Street, for an unrelated matter. While there, he observed a school bus unload a group of high schoolers, and moments later, a verbal argument growing louder and louder. Deputy Martinez observed two females engaged in this verbal argument that, all of a sudden, escalated into a physical altercation.

Deputy Martinez made his way towards the fighters as bystanders began watching. Considering both parties were refusing to stop their assault, Deputy Martinez got in between the two of them and separated both parties. While one of the participants took this as a hint to stop, the other did not and would become non-compliant. She would attempt to flee and refuse commands. That being said, Deputy Martinez was able to end this street fight.

It was determined the juveniles were fighting over allegations of bullying. Since it was determined to be mutual combat, both received criminal complaints for assault and battery, as well as disorderly conduct. The suspect who was non-compliant also received a criminal complaint for obstruction of justice.
