One Stafford resident had a rather rude wakeup call that resulted in a 23-year-old woman being held without bond.

On October 24th at approximately 1:21 a.m. Deputy P.J. Leon responded to Barrett Heights Road for a report of a hit and run. The victim advised he was sound asleep until he heard a loud ruckus outside. The ruckus was from a Toyota crashing through his fence and then taking off. Luckily, the incident was captured on camera.

Among the damages were multiple red vehicle parts. Deputies began canvassing the area until they found a red Toyota with recent damages. Having the various puzzle pieces all together, Deputy Leon made contact with the driver. Deputy Leon could not get much information from the driver due to her level of intoxication, but she did admit to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages prior to driving.

The driver was charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, hit and run, as well as, reckless driving. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
