A 30-year-old Stafford woman earned her second DUI charge after causing a scene outside an apartment complex.

On October 1st at approximately 9:17 p.m. Deputy J.A. Martin, Deputy P.J. Leon, and Deputy A.M. Pitts responded to Cummings Drive for a disturbance. The caller advised a female with “crazy hair” was vandalizing vehicles. When deputies arrived, they observed the described female yelling towards someone in the apartment complex.

As deputies attempted to determine what happened that brought them to this point, the suspect admitted to consuming alcohol before driving to this location. That was confirmed with her clear signs of being intoxicated and the open bottle of tequila in her vehicle. The suspect advised she was upset about being broken up with and was here to confront the other party.

Contact was made with the other party and it was discovered he was a victim during the suspects parking lot outburst. The victim had his vehicle vandalized when he would not let her into the apartment.

The suspect was charged with driving under the influence second offense in five years with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, obstruction of justice, driving while suspended, and tampering with a vehicle. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
