One Stafford man made the choice to not only steal a vehicle, but to drive it while under the influence.

On September 17th at approximately 12:40 p.m. Deputy X.D. Bates was investigating a separate incident at Dolphin Cove when he noticed a male in a vehicle nearby. Deputy Bates made contact with the male in hopes he might be able to help shine a light on the incident, but instead a new incident was brought to light. The driver showed signs of being intoxicated.

During his investigation, Deputy Bates was approached by another individual who claimed her vehicle was stolen. The victim’s vehicle happened to be the vehicle the intoxicated male was driving. It was discovered the suspect, Christopher Choice, 39, and the victim happened to be at the same Wawa. While the victim was inside the store, Choice chose to steal her vehicle. Choice and the victim did not know each other.

Choice’s choices earned him warrants for grand larceny, driving under the influence, and driving while revoked. He was held on a $2,000 secured bond.
