Someone scammed Grimace during his birthday month. Beware of possible fraudulent cash.

On July 4th at approximately 3:20 p.m. Deputy J.D. Hurt responded to McDonalds, located at 190 Garrisonville Road, but not for a Grimace shake. There was a report of phoney money.

Staff advised a suspect, but not the Hamburglar, passed them a $100 bill in an attempt to pay for their meal. While at first glance the cash looks rather real, on further inspection, it was discovered to be fake. Staff was not loving it when they discovered this fact. Deputy Hurt seized the bill for evidence.

Businesses, please remember to check for fraudulent money, whether you work for a clown or a king, and report incidents like this to the Sheriff’s Office.
